Alhamdulillah,
Our firm A.S. NOORDEEN ventured into the book industry in 1972 in a small and
humble way as a small time vendor supplying assorted reading material.
As demand for reading material increased, we began to import books of assorted
titles from India, Quran and Holy books from Pakistan, and other material from
UK and USA etc. for local distribution. We also belief that we are the pioneers
for introducing Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi's books to the Malaysian public. The
popularity of Maududi's books not only prompted us to be a leading distributor
for Islamic books, but also opened doors to the Publishing industry.
With the encouragement by a local writer, Brother Mustafa Ramadhan (Yusuf
Ismail), we first published 'Muslimah Dalam Pembentukan Ummah' in 1980. The
Malay edition sold some 5,000 copies in the first twelve months and saw 6
reprints totalling 15,000 copies. Buoyed by the success of the first
publication, we ventured into the Publishing industry and have now become a
reputable publisher of Islamic Books in Malaysia.
We were also the first to introduce PVC kitabs to the World e.g. Yaseen,
Muqaddam, Juz Amma and Holy Quran (Arabic text) etc. in PVC material.
By the grace of Allah (swt) the Almighty, as at today we have published no less
than 700 titles in the English and Malay language and have established as a
prominent publisher.
We serve Book Distributors, Authors and Publishers from Australia, New Zealand,
Netherlands, African countries, UK, USA and Saudi Arabia. Our motto is
'Affordability-Quality-Literacy'.
We are very grateful to Allah (swt) the Almighty for the support given by all of
